TOSH ARAKI

Mochi is a concept prototype for designing human-robot interaction in the near future. This robot has eyes and arms to express emotions. He tries to draw your attention and wants you to pick up his favorite toy. Through the user testing we observed how the human interprets the robot’s emotion and how to react with.

The prototype is built with Sony’s "pico-projector" (ultra small projector), Unreal Engine, depth sensing camera, Arduino and servo motors.

I was responsible for leading R&D team in concept creation, prototyping and user testing.
